My goal is to explore the microbial communities and their metabolic processes of the most common Hungarian soil types (brown forest soils, chernozem soils) using molecular biological methods.
Furthermore, I investigate the bacterial composition of the different soil types by classical microbiological methods, focusing on the plant growth-promoting effect of the isolated strains (eg osmotic stress tolerance, indole-3-acetic acid-, exopolysaccharide-, siderophore production, nitrogen fixation, phosphorus mobilization).
