I participate in research and development tenders belonging to the Institute of Aquaculture and Environmental Safety of the Szent István Campus of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences (MATE) as a technical service (laboratory assistant). I contribute to the general tasks of our research group, such as the preparation and evaluation of sequencing and fragment analyzes, and the monitoring and care of the African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) stock in Gödöllő.
In addition, I am a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Animal Science, MATE. The topic of my PhD research is “Molecular genetic characterization of African catfish development”. I investigate the effect of feeds with different macronutrient compositions on experimental fish stocks at the RNA level. My goal is to create a system that can identify individuals in a given population that can utilize proteins at the highest levels.
